Economist.com | Arnold Schwarzenegger PERHAPS Arnold Schwarzenegger's next trick will be to walk on water. In the past six months he has exchanged a fading movie career for the governorship of California; persuaded a reluctant electorate to borrow $15 billion to keep the state solvent; and even, while on an Easter break in Hawaii, helped save a man from drowning. The latest feat, signed into law on April 19th, is to strong-arm the Democrat-dominated legislature into reforming the workers' compensation system. We are making our state once again a powerful, job-creating machine, says the perpetually beaming governor.
You can just hear him saying that in his "Terminator" voice! :)
