Why one should limit foreign investment in, say, the airline industry: Can create a bubble. If foreigners withdraw their money rapidly, prices could collapse. If foreigners are allowed to invest, it can drive up asset prices to unreasonable levels. But this is a case for limiting investment, but doing so on the basis of nationality is a bone-headed approach.
