Taiwanese Lantern Festival, Taiwanese Dolls, Taiwanese Independence

We took down the lanterns from the Taiwanese Lantern Festival and from the Taiwanese Barbie exhibit in Cumberland. I was chatting with one of Cumberland's municipal councillors who noted that the town signed a declaration along with Kingston, Ontario urging that Taiwan be allowed to join the WHO, against China's wishes. The focus on these Taiwanese cultural events in decidedly political.
