Bell Canada>Ottawa Public Library

I was at the Ottawa Public Library this morning. Using their WiFi internet. I decided that I wanted to download the CBC's show Canada's Next Great Prime Minister. And I couldn't. It wasn't that bittorrent was slowed down. It wasn't that the library used traffic shaping. It wasn't that there were bandwidth caps. It was that the library outright blocked bittorrent.

So I left the realm of the public sector and went to a Bridgehead cafe. And then it worked.
